...AND A LITTLE PINK MOJO...
I revised the above card to fit into my plans for my FIRST workshop at the end of the month.  We will be learning techniques with ink (I know that could potentially cover alot, but we are going over basics).
I have used ALL Stampin' Up products.  Here is what I used:
Cardstock-Whisper White, Regal Rose, Basic Gray, Patterns Designer Series Paper
Ink-Basic Gray, Regal Rose, Blush Blossom
Accessories-Blossom punch, Edgelit and embossing folder, Square punch, Simply Scored, blender pen, adhesive pearls...

and of course the stamps-Greeting Card Kids, Teeny Tiny Wishes

Thanks for visiting!  Have a wonderful weekend and thank you for your comments!

Still Playing...

Another post for Friday nite, almost Saturday morning.  I am having fun trying all my new Stampin' Up goodies, as I am now a Stampin' Up demonstrator.  Here is my first attempt at water coloring (with the Aqua Painter) these two munchkins and the second time water coloring EVER.  Getting a little easier-skin is no fun, though!
So, this time I almost used all Stampin' Up products.  The only thing not Stampin' Up is the Baker's twine.  Card stock is Crumb Cake, Ruby Red, Naturals White and Not Quite Navy-I could not get a good photo of these colors and the blue almost looks like Island Indigo.  I created a mat for the circular image by fussy cutting two of the embossed Fancy Frames and adhering them together.  I used Simply Scored to score lines all the way around the card base, 1/4" from the edge.
Inks used include Real Red, More Mustard, So Saffron, Chocolate Chip, Not Quite Navy, Garden Green, Blush Blossom and Close to Cocoa. The button is So Saffron with some embroidery floss dyed More Mustard tied through it.  Lastly, the ribbon is Early Espresso.
Thanks so much for visiting, and as always, your comments are appreciated!

Here is another go at Greeting Card Kids.  My friends make me smile.  They make me laugh.  They sometimes hold life together for me.  So this card is dedicated to friends.  It works perfectly for the Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge 126 and it is also for the Freshly Made Sketches 22.  I tried to go for a sepia look here.  I combined River Rock and Crumb Cake inks to color the "kids".
Supplies include:
Stampin' Up black, Very Vanilla and River Rock cardstock
Pink Paislee Hometown Summer dp
Greeting card Kids and Tiny Tags stamps (Stampin' Up)
The baker's twine was black and white, but I dyed it with a mixture of Close to Cocoa and Van Dyke brown inks.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and as always, your comments are so appreciated!

Distressed Romance

Today's challenge was a true challenge.  First this card is using the Try a New Technique over on Splitcoast Stampers.  This technique is TLC364-Wrinkle Free Distress.  I also forced myself to try to use all Stampin' Up products on this card (I failed, by the way).  Lastly, I tried to replicate yesterday's post, which used beautiful paper from Basic Grey.
My background paper was made using the distress technique found on Splitcoast.  I used More Mustard, Pool Party and Rose Red ink on Naturals White paper from Stampin' Up.  After several applications of those inks, I did a top layer of Van Dyke brown.  Other cardstock used is Very Vanilla, Pool Party and Whisper White.  The lace is dyed with More Mustard ink by rubbing the stamp pad over it and then wetting/blending the ink into the ribbon with the Aqua Painter from Stampin' Up.  The flowers from the set, Bordering on Romance were colored with Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, More Mustard, True Thyme, River Rock and Pool Party inks and the blender pen.  The image was stamped with black Stazon.  The image was then embossed with the Designer Frames embossing folder from Stampin' Up.  The smaller bunch of flowers was simply fussy cut out and adhered behind the frame.  The sentiment was stamped with Versamark and Rose Red and then clear embossed.  Lastly, I punched 2 strips of Pool Party cs with an edge punch.
All papers were sponged with Van Dyke brown ink and adhesive pearls finish off this card.  What do you think?  How did I do mimicking yesterday's card?

Thanks for stopping by!

Stick with God

Well, I have been feeling a little overwhelmed this week and seemed to loose my crafting Mojo.  I have signed up to be a Stampin'Up demonstrator and just lost all confidence.  But, getting back to basics sure helped-getting back to God and His plan for me.  Hello, Mojo!  Just reminding myself of God's truths and trusting in Him was enough to calm the nerves and remind me why I do what I do.
This card is for the ODBD Shining the Light challenge 96 over at Our Daily Bread Designs.  This challenge was to use techniques, materials, or products (3 of them) starting with the letters in the word "heart".  I Heat embossed the ODBD Ironworks frame and Full of Grace "Light" sentiment; The designer paper is "Hello Luscious" from Basic Grey;  there are adhesive Rhinestones on the corners of the frame (hard to see, but really, they are there!); Edge punch; Ribbon (albeit, lace); and the flowers are Raised on pop dots.

Other supplies include:  Stampin' Up Very Vanilla and More Mustard card stock, Stampin' Up Real Rose ink and cardstock, adhesive pearls, Van Dyke Brown ink, embossing powder

This card is also for the Word Art Wednesday challenge 15 which is to use scripture or encouraging words on you art work.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Remember this recipe for success- Stick with God!

Another go at the Brayer!

Well, now I have to keep trying to perfect the elusive brayer!  I am loving working with it and am trying to achieve the "perfect" background.  This one got a little dark, so instead of a sunset, it is more like dusk.
I have used Stampin' Up's Lovely as a Tree; I masked the snowy ground and brayered the sky in  Marigold Morning, Apricot Appeal, Calypso Coral, Vintage Violet and Night of Navy.  The image is mounted on Wisteria Wonder.  Both tree images are stamped in black and have clear glitter on them.  The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and is punched out with the Word Window punch.  An organza bow in white finishes off this card.

Brayered Seascape for OWH

I almost titled this blog "Help!"  This is my very first brayered card.  If it weren't for the fact that there are some incredibly nifty looks one can achieve from brayering, this might be my last!  Please, please, please-anyone out there good at the brayering technique?  I could certainly use some suggestions.  I can't seem to get rid of the "lines" of the different color inks and the colors are just too linear.  Also, can you tell that the big black blob in the sky is the silhouette of a bird, or does it look like a big black blob?
This card is for the "sand and sea" or "blue and tan" challenge over at OWH.  Cardstock is Whisper White and Bashful Blue (Stampin' Up).  Inks are Crumb Cake, Soft Sky, Buckaroo Blue and Night of Navy (brayered inks).  The grasses and sentiment are Chocolate Chip.  The big black blob... or bird, well, is black.
Anyone with thought or constructive criticisms, your ideas are greatly appreciated here!!
